RAT Race Timing LLC is a running partnership of Kerry Arsenault and Jerry Turk who bring their passion for sport and experience of competitive events as both participants and organizers, to event timing.
A runner for over 40 years, Jerry has competed in countless races ranging from 5Ks through to marathons, adventure races and ultra marathon events across America and the U.K. He has completed 3 of the 5 top city marathons and in 2009 became the first Connecticut based athlete to finish the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning. He has finished the Hellgate 100K, held every December in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia, every year since it began in 2003. Since 2007 he has directed races, establishing the Bimbler’s Bash 10k and Bimbler’s Bluff 50K as popular events in the local trail running calendar. The Bimbler’s Bash has grown to become the largest trail race in the state of Connecticut.In May 2013, Jerry was featured in the web site Far North, that focuses on trail running and other endurance adventures in New England and New York
Kerry has been a competitive road and trail runner over distances ranging from the ¼ mile to 100 miles since 1979 and still holds course records for a number of races in Connecticut. Some of her notable achievements include three collegiate records in the Distance Medley Relay, Outdoor 3000m and the Indoor 1500m. In 2004 she was the first American finisher in the Fairfield Half Marathon and later the same year was named “Athlete of the Month” in the New England Runner Magazine. In July 2011 she completed her first 100 mile ultra marathon in less than 24 hours. She has also completed several sprint triathlons, as well as Olympic and Half Ironman distance events.
